maru sushi + grill with both of my girls was a treat on this super cold little saturday in detroit. you can find this spot on fort street and inside the federal building. let me tell you that the firecracker shrimp are oh so incredible that a second order was placed. the peach tea and bacon fried rice was also special. ok, so we were quite famished [and perhaps a bit hangry ;)] when we arrived and miso soup, chicken gyoza, and rolls were ordered. not a fan of seaweed. and the built in gratuity was confusing. understood it to be as in france but not really. we will like to go back to try the udon and hibachi grills.  keep in mind that a student discount is offered on thursdays.  try to get a seat with a view because our city looks so fresh!
