not the official name
so it has been a little bit since we last posted. lots of good things happening that have distracted us from our little saturdays in detroit adventures. yet super happy to share our experience at my favorite detroit restaurant. hands down seldon standard is the best! always consistent in quality, taste, presentation, and overall experience. last summer around this time was when i tried this dish that had me waiting for sweet corn season to come around again. this season the dish has a new name and a fantastic twist and still amazing. hurry to try it because the menu changes according to what is freshly in season. pockets of sweet corn in house made pasta and the most delicious combination of flavors. not pictured above so close your eyes and imagine.
what is pictured above is the pasta with fresh sweet peas which was on the menu a couple week ago was also outstanding. the locally sourced garden vegtables make a huge impact. the chicken sugo is a returning favorite. this one will have you planning a return trip.
the flat bread arrives at your table hot out of the oven and puffed full of steam and ironically not flat 😉 love it and the scrumptious cheese and more that accompany this treat. take notice of the perfectly selected vesel chosen to contain each dish. the bowl for the green salad is great.
i noticed this desert on instagram and have been wanting to try it. glad that we ordered it tonight to split. so light and decadent at the same time. the small wooden plate was so well suited to this desert. everything about each dish is genius. the complete aesthetic is appreciated. kudos to the chef and his entire staff. bravo, we are fans!!!
